Global warming observed during last decades is especially intensive in Central Asia being one of the main challenges for Uzbekistan, the country where climate change rates are the highest in the region.

Droughts, landslides, torrents, avalanches, sand and dust storms, extreme temperatures, thunderstorms, strong winds – far not exhaustive list of dangerous climate dependant phenomenon threatening national sustainable development.

The UNDP Project “Climate Risks Management in Uzbekistan” carries out studies of this extremely urgent problem. Project objectives are targeted at development of effective and simple approaches to mitigate consequences of dangerous natural phenomenon that you can observe in the film «Learning To Manage Climate Risks».
